► JOB OPENING - FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT
Based in Henderson, TN

Salary: Dependent on experience (Minimum salary $11.62 per hr.)

Job Duties Include:
• Maintain all facilities and grounds for all SWHRA Head Start centers in seven counties
• Maintain and manage tools, equipment, work orders, maintenance logs and schedules
• Evaluate on-going maintenance needs and develop routine maintenance schedule
• Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal health, safety and fire code regulations

Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Knowledge, skills and experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, general repairs and grounds maintenance
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license and vehicle insurance
• Pass physical examination, TB screen, drug screen and criminal /fingerprint background check.

► JOB OPENING - DATA ASSISTANT MANAGER
This position is located at SWHRA Head Start Central Office, 1527 White Avenue in Henderson.

Salary: minimum $11.62 per hour

Job Duties Include:
Responsibility for data entry, data management and data monitoring, which includes: Assisting with the daily operations of ChildPlus software and other software operations such as Ready Rosie, data entry of initial recruitment record for all children and families, all children’s health, nutrition and dental screenings, enrollment and attendance records. Entering, calculating and tracking of Head Start In-kind. Generating computer reports as needed and assisting with preparing information for Policy Council members, monitoring computer data for accuracy and serving as an effective software resource to other program staff.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; experience/training in basic computer operations and software such as data entry, spreadsheet, database management and word processing application. Must also have a working knowledge of computerized management information systems. Must be willing to continue education. Must pass physical exam, TB screen, drug screen, and criminal/fingerprint background check. Have a valid driver license and vehicle insurance.

Job Duties Include:
Be able to work with low-income families in providing services to Head Start children and families in the areas of Parent Involvement, Social Services and Health. Applicant must be able to work with other agencies in the community. Door to Door recruitment for enrollment (knowledge of service area – is preferred). Maintain up-to-date files on approx. 51 Head Start families. Have basic computer skills. Be able to carry out multiple tasks within a set time frame. Available to travel.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required: Associate Degree in Social Services or related field preferred. Willing to continue education. Must pass physical exam, TB screen, drug screen, and criminal/fingerprint background check. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license, and vehicle insurance.

Job Duties Include:
Carry out a program of instruction ensuring program policies and procedures are being met for a pre-school classroom of up to 20 children, supervise an Assistant Teacher, make home visits, encourage parent involvement, and work closely with other staff concerning enrollment and meeting the needs of families.

Basic Qualifications:
Applicant must possess an AA or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 credit hours of Early Childhood Education.
Applicant should also possess good written, verbal, and computer skills. Experience and/or training in working with pre-school children is desired. Must pass physical exam, TB screening, drug screen, and criminal/fingerprint background check.

FOSTER GRANDPARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
 
PURPOSE:
To provide volunteer opportunities for low income persons, age 55 or older, to create support services for children with special & exceptional needs.
 
ELIGIBILITY:
  1. Men & women must be age 55 or older
  2. Applicants must meet Federal Income Guidelines.
  3. Must pass a fingerprint FBI Background check, as well as other criminal background checks.
  4. Applicants must be physically fit & mentally able to serve at least five days per week.
  5. Applicants must have a desire to learn about the needs of children served and want to help with a child’s individual growth & development. 
BENEFITS OF FOSTER GRANDPARENTS:
  1. Stipend payment of at least $106.00 every two weeks ($ 2.65 per hr.).  This money does not affect any Social Security, SSI, rent or other benefits already received.
  2. Transportation is provided free of charge.
  3. Grandparents receive a free hot meal if they work through meal time.
  4. Insurance is provided during travel and work time.
  5. Orientation is provided before a Grandparent begins work.
  6. This is a wonderful opportunity to associate with other seniors and to have children to love and who will love you in return.

The Foster Grandparent Program is funded by the Corporation for National Community Service and Southwest Human Resource Agency.
