► JOB OPENING - HOUSING INSPECTOR/ENERGY AUDITOR

Southwest HRA is seeking a full-time Housing Inspector/Energy Auditor.  This position requires comprehension of various building components and materials.  The applicant must be technologically savvy, mathematically proficient, and possess a critical eye for quality workmanship as well as have excellent written and oral communication skills and be skilled in database entry.  The selected candidate will be required to attend multiple training courses and acquire the following certifications:  Energy Auditor Certification – BPI, EPA RRP Certified Renovator, Quality Control Inspector Certification – BPI, and OSHA 10 Certification.  This position offers excellent benefits and requires a high school diploma.  Entry level pay will begin at $15.00 per hour.

Southwest Human Resource Agency is seeking a part-time employee to assist with the distribution of commodities.  This position requires good organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job in a variety of weather conditions. ► JOB OPENING - NUTRITION SITE MANAGER (Munford, TN)

This is a Nutrition Site Manager Position in Munford, Tennessee delivering meals to authorized homebound seniors in the Tipton County area.

Due to Covid-19, this position is only one day per week on Wednesdays. This is an excellent opportunity to assist seniors in your area.

Pay is $9.00 per hour. Must be over 18, have a valid TN driver's license, be familiar with the Munford area and be able to pass local, state and federal background checks.

► JOB OPENING - VAN DRIVERS

Southwest Human Resource Agency’s Office of Public Transportation is seeking drivers in Chester, Decatur, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Madison and McNairy Counties.
 
Qualifications are:
- be at least 21 years old
- possess a valid Class D with the “F” Endorsement or CDL Tennessee driver’s license
- pass a DOT physical
- have a clean background check
- pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen. 
 
Pay begins at $9.60/hour plus a robust benefit package.

FOSTER GRANDPARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
 
PURPOSE:
To provide volunteer opportunities for low income persons, age 55 or older, to create support services for children with special & exceptional needs.
 
ELIGIBILITY:
  1. Men & women must be age 55 or older
  2. Applicants must meet Federal Income Guidelines.
  3. Must pass a fingerprint FBI Background check, as well as other criminal background checks.
  4. Applicants must be physically fit & mentally able to serve at least five days per week.
  5. Applicants must have a desire to learn about the needs of children served and want to help with a child’s individual growth & development. 
BENEFITS OF FOSTER GRANDPARENTS:
  1. Stipend payment of at least $106.00 every two weeks ($ 2.65 per hr.).  This money does not affect any Social Security, SSI, rent or other benefits already received.
  2. Transportation is provided free of charge.
  3. Grandparents receive a free hot meal if they work through meal time.
  4. Insurance is provided during travel and work time.
  5. Orientation is provided before a Grandparent begins work.
  6. This is a wonderful opportunity to associate with other seniors and to have children to love and who will love you in return.

The Foster Grandparent Program is funded by the Corporation for National Community Service and Southwest Human Resource Agency.
