► JOB OPENING - CHILD HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER

Southwest Human Resource Agency Head Start Program, a federally funded program which serves eligible three and four-year old children is currently accepting applications for the position of:
CHILD HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER
 
This is a full-time position which reports directly to the Head Start Director.
 
Position Qualifications Thorough knowledge of the federal regulations pertaining to the Head Start Program,  extensive knowledge of the health, nutritional and mental health needs of pre-school age children, excellent organizational, interpersonal and decision making capabilities, ability to implement effective programmatic policies and procedures that insure compliance with governing regulations and considerable experience supervising a large staff of professional and pare- professional employees Head Start experience preferred.  Responsible for Infection Control and CPR/First Aid training. 
 
Education Requirement:  Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a B.A. (B.S.) Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Early Childhood Education, Mental Health or related field. Nursing licensure not required, but preferred.  American Heart Association, Basic Life Support Instructor certification preferred.
 
Salary range - $42,900 per year based on qualifications
Excellent Benefits
Work schedule – 52 weeks per year / 37 ½ hrs per week
Work location – SWHRA Head Start Central Office, 1527 White Ave., Henderson, TN
Must be willing to travel
Must pass physical exam, drug screen, and criminal/fingerprint background check.

► JOB OPENING - HOMEMAKER PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Southwest HRA is seeking a full-time Program Assistant for the Central Office located at 1527 White Ave., Henderson, TN 38340.  The applicant selected to fill this position will assist with the daily operations of a comprehensive home assistance program for a multi-county region. Other duties will consist of preparing and conducting ongoing training for all program staff, database monitoring, reporting functions, and data entry.  Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience handing customers in a friendly and professional manner.  Applicants must also have excellent typing, computer, and data entry skills, as well as be organized and have the ability to multitask.   This position offers excellent benefits and requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.  Entry level pay will begin at $11.28 per hour.

► JOB OPENING - VAN DRIVERS FOR MADISON COUNTY

Job Qualifications:
• Must be age 21 or older.
• Must have a minimum Class D Driver's License with an F endorsement.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess
a valid DOT physical card issued by an FTA registered physician.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check, a criminal background check and an FTA approved pre-employment drug test.
• Must be clear of all National Offender Registries, such as the Sexual Offender Registry and the Elderly or Disabled Abuse Registry.
• Drivers must be readily accessible by telephone, and be able to report to work on short notice and at odd hours.
• Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D.

Pay is dependent on qualifications and license type: Range is $9.15-9.50 per hour.

FOSTER GRANDPARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
 
PURPOSE:
To provide volunteer opportunities for low income persons, age 55 or older, to create support services for children with special & exceptional needs.
 
ELIGIBILITY:
  1. Men & women must be age 55 or older
  2. Applicants must meet Federal Income Guidelines.
  3. Must pass a fingerprint FBI Background check, as well as other criminal background checks.
  4. Applicants must be physically fit & mentally able to serve at least five days per week.
  5. Applicants must have a desire to learn about the needs of children served and want to help with a child’s individual growth & development. 
BENEFITS OF FOSTER GRANDPARENTS:
  1. Stipend payment of at least $106.00 every two weeks ($ 2.65 per hr.).  This money does not affect any Social Security, SSI, rent or other benefits already received.
  2. Transportation is provided free of charge.
  3. Grandparents receive a free hot meal if they work through meal time.
  4. Insurance is provided during travel and work time.
  5. Orientation is provided before a Grandparent begins work.
  6. This is a wonderful opportunity to associate with other seniors and to have children to love and who will love you in return.

The Foster Grandparent Program is funded by the Corporation for National Community Service and Southwest Human Resource Agency.
