Vonda Mathenia

Vonda has been with the agency since 2009. She is a graduate of Union University and is currently seeking her Southeastern Association of Community Action Agencies (SEACAA) Manager Certification. Vonda is an active member of the Tennessee Association of Human Resource Agencies (TAHRA) and serves on multiple committees within the organization. Prior to joining SWHRA, she served as a Regional Human Resource Manager for BlueScope Steele North America. In addition to her corporate experience, she has fifteen years of experience in the non-profit sector.

The vision of Delivering Hope in the 21st Century is viewed from a customer perspective and is designed to provide citizens of our eight county service area an opportunity to:

  • Receive clear communication of the programs and services offered by Southwest Human Resource Agency
  • Receive friendly and courteous service that instills a sense of pride, dignity, and self-worth
  • Feel welcome in a safe and professional atmosphere

Wellness Works

Southwest Human Resource Agency is committed to promoting a lifestyle of good health and well-being for our employees and our communities. The “Wellness Works” program encourages employees to improve their health and well-being through educational opportunities and wellness activities. These activities include our Annual Health Fair, blood drives, employee “lunch and learn”, and other health awareness events.

As we expand participation in the “Wellness Works” program, our agency may offer benefits that are more cost effective for our employees and the agency.
