Head Start
The Head Start Program seeks to provide programming that will enhance children's growth and development in preparation for later academic and social pursuits. For more information, visit: www.swhrahs.org.
Child Care Services
The Child Care Certificate Program is a state and federally funded program that assists welfare and low-income families with their child care costs in order to remain employed and/or in school. For more information, visit: www.swhra.org/childcare/.
Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is a federally funded training and job program that creates a new approach providing workforce investment activities through statewide and local systems. Authorized workforce investment activities provided at the local level benefit job seekers, dislocated workers, youth, foster care participants, incumbent workers, new entrants to the workforce, veterans, persons with disabilities, and employers. Foster Grandparent Program

Southwest Human Resource Agency continues its long history of being the
premier Community Services delivery organization in West Tennessee.
We are an Agency that continues to establish and maintain an outstanding
reputation for quality human services to West and Central Tennessee Communities.
Our growth and success is due to our desire and commitment to serving our
customer’s needs, whether that be Child Care services, providing a Head Start
for 3 and 4 year old children, providing public transportation, offering
assistance for energy needs, lending a helping hand for youth, dislocated, and
adult workers, or assisting our Senior population with basic needs.
I certainly appreciate our dedicated employees who are to be commended for
accepting the challenge of improving the services we offer.
